The Millis Fund, Inc.
"Neighbors helping Neighbors"
The Millis Fund is a community based and supported organization established in 1994 to provide emergency financial aid to the residents of Millis.
Financial assitance is based upon clear documentation of the emergency needs obtained by filling out a simple one page application. To the date, the Millis Fund has assisted over 400 families by paying for rent, utilities, fuel and other emergency needs. All payments are made directly to the supplier and not the applicant.
Millis residents may apply to the Fund after one year of residency. An application may be made once each year and a maximum of three occurrences of aid is permitted. While there is no maximum amount per request, fairness to all Millis residents must be considered to continue the financial viability of the Fund. Applications may be obtained through the contact information below or at the Millis Council on Aging. Each applicant is carefully and confidentially reviewed and help is provided on a fair and impartial basis.
Continued financial support for the Fund is derived almost entirely through contributions from area residents and businesses as well as religious and civic organizations. 99% of all donated funds directly help Millis families in times of need. To make a tax deductible contribution to the Fund, donations may be sent to:
